A belief is defined by wikipedia as a psychological state where an individual is convinced of the truth of a proposition. In simple terms, a belief is the program that defines one's character and personality; something you consider to be true about your life. We form beliefs unconsciuosly based on past experiences in our lives. Past events tied with strong emotions form impressions on your subconscious mind. These impressions are organized and categorized into beliefs. Belief systems drive your perceptions and behaviors. They have the power to limit us, or propel us forward.
