How To Attract What You Want In Life
Friday, 12 October 2007
The Law of Attraction is a real law of the universe that works on a simple principal: that what you think about you bring about. Scientists and quantum physicists alike have come to understand that everything is connected. Indigenous peoples of the world know this already. In my own country, Native Americans have long said "we are all related."

This is now known as fact. We are all related and we are all connected.

So what does that have to do with attracting what you want in life?

This place where we are all connected - to some scientists it is called the zero point field. This field, or web (not unlike the world wide web as a comparison) forms the basis from which all things are made.

This field underlies everything we are, we see, touch, smell, have or experience. I think of it in terms of a universal Playdo, which when I was growing up was a salt and flour based "clay" that came in little cartons and was made of different colors. You could mold it into anything you wanted.

This is how our reality works, whether you "believe" it or not. Our lives, our experiences, the people in our lives, the things we have, are formed from this clay. We form them by how we think, how we feel and what we focus on.

When you think a thought, you empower it with your emotions to become a reality in your life. Your thought powered by your emotion goes out into this field and draws back to you an event, circumstance, experience, material object or person to match that empowered thought.

If you primarily have negative thoughts and emotions - no doubt you may consider yourself a victim - "everything bad happens to me." If you are the opposite of that and primarily think positive thoughts imbued with positive emotions - you are someone that has "good" things happen to you.

The most successful people in life are those who continue to emit positive thoughts and feelings about what they want to do, become or have and as such "got what they wanted."

But just having positive thoughts is not enough. The reason is that as we age in life, we develop belief systems. Belief systems are those things we have:

1. Been told by our parents, schools, religions or friends that are true
and we have embraced as truths.
2. Things we have told ourselves are true.
3. Behavioral habits we have adapted to reinforce these belief systems.

As an example, if you grew up in a home where there was not a lot of money, your parents may have said stuff like "money doesn't grow on trees."

It doesn't matter where you grew up or what the economics of your childhood were, unconsciously, as children we adopt the beliefs of our parents, whatever they may be.

Those beliefs and others we have picked up along the way have formed the "grid" of our thinking and underlies our being. You could think a 1000 positive thoughts a day, but if your belief system contradicts what you are trying to draw to you - you have a stalemate.

So it's not just about having positive thoughts and emotions - it's also about losing your negative "conditioning."

Russian scientists discovered conditioning when they were doing experiments with a dog. It worked like this: every time they fed their "subject" dog, they would ring a bell. They did this several times over and over. Then, they tested their experiment by not feeding the dog, but just by ringing the bell. You know what happened? The moment they rang the bell, the dog began to salivate in anticipation of food. That is called Pavlov's conditioning.

That is the same way our belief systems work in our lives. We are conditioned by them and when that bell rings - out pops the response. Whether it's a thought, an action, a word, an event, or circumstance - we have conditioned ourselves to believe certain things. When that bell rings we not only salivate - we drool.

In order to get into the place to allow ourselves the freedom to really think, feel and attract the things we want in our life, we need to remove all this negative self talk, these negative beliefs.

There are a lot of programs to do this. And yes, they all cost money. Is it worth it to you? It was to me.

If you want something bad enough - you will go out of your way to make it so.

How much is it worth to you to remove all those negative belief systems and free yourself to really attract and have those things in your life that you really want?

You decide.

It's your choice. Just as it always has been and will be.
