Affirmations are more than just repeating words, they are believed to be a very powerful means of reprogramming the subconscious mind. Affirmations can be positive statements that describe a desired situation. When repeated many times, they impress the subconscious mind and trigger it into positive action, much the same way commands and scripts program a computer.
What are affirmations used for? Affirmations affect your own and other people's conscious and unconscious levels and are believed to be able to aid in the reprogramming of the human mind. They can be used to affirm abundance, health, healings, love, money & prosperity, self esteem and success, amongst other things. Affirmations themselves can be either positive or negative. Positive affirmations are designed to challenge those negative beliefs and stop the flow of negative thoughts and words that support them. How to use affirmations - Affirmations are short, carefully constructed phrases that should be repeated many times to be effective. - They can either be spoken or be written down. And finally, the secret to using affirmations successfully? - Visualize your goal as having "already" been achieved.
